    It's HOT. Yesterday it was 96 degrees there, which is just STUPID for mid-April.

    Mainly, it sucked because I moved from Alaska in December to there, which was a shock to my system, and there were a lot of really crappy things that happened during that time span- lots of major family health issues, for one thing.


    Really, a lot of the 5 years I lived there is just an unpleasant blur, so I don't have a lot of specifics.


    I'm going under such different circumstances (not moving because of health reasons, moving in with someone who can afford to run the AC, being old enough to go out and do stuff)- that it really HAS to be better.

    And if not, I can leave, so that's less stress right there.


    I'm just trying to get over a roughly 20-year grudge against the place, and that's kinda tricky to let go of...

    It should be good for my health:

    My allergies should be better, my joints should be better (since they tend to get stiff and achy either with cold or with a storm coming), and my headaches should be better, since they're mainly set off by the allergies and air pressure changes.

    I'm SO tired of being "sinusy."

        Wow NY totally slipped from 6th to 16th. There's NFW Rhode Island is smarter than New York. I've been to that state, and it is one dumb-assed state. Between the mafia and the inbreds it shouldn't get above 30 if that.

          Funny you should mention Rhode Island, Ren.

          A guy named Dave Gilmartin wrote a book called "The Absolute Worst Places to Live in America" (from an article in today's Boston Globe) & he singles out Cranston, R.I. as being an ideal location for "white trash, mall rats, mafia wannabes, ultra guidos, old-school metal heads, and paper clip company employees". I've been through there too & can wholeheartedly confirm this. It's like Little New Jersey...or something.
